Tech Transfer Conferences

Tech Transfer conferences are cutting-edge, informative, and balanced. They provide an opportunity to learn something new, to keep up with technological, regulatory, and legal developments, and to meet and network with experts, colleagues and stakeholders.

The California Pavement Preservation Conference was first held in Southern California in 2006 in conjunction with the Pavement Preservation Task Group. It generated such excitement and support from government and industry that it has now become an annual event, traveling around California from year to year. The 2009 conference was held April 7-9 in Oakland, California. In 2010, the International Conference for Pavement Preservation will be held in lieu of the California Pavement Preservation Conference.

The biennial Rail Corridor Safety Conference brings together all of the parties working together to improve mobility and safety in rail transportation corridors. Planning is now underway for the 2010 conference which will be held in Tacoma, Washington on June 22-24.

In 2009, Tech Transfer and Caltrans will co-host the biennial National Highway Data Workshop and Conference (HiDaC). The HiDaC is a practitioners' conference for new and experienced mid-level analysts and highway data managers involved with the day-to-day activities associated with highway data collection, processing, and analysis from regional, state and federal government, and local and regional planning agencies. Conference presentations and discussions will focus on highway system inventory and extent, highway system designations, and highway system performance. The conference will be held September 22-24, 2009 in Oakland, California.
