Tech Topics was a periodic newsletter supplement aimed at providing a link between innovative developments in technology and practical engineering applications. Technical Topics was distributed between 1998 and 2007 to over 18,000 readers in California and the United States through the Local Technical Assistance Program with funding from the Federal Highway Administration and the Caltrans Divisions of Local Assistance and Research, Innovation, and System Information.
Introduced in 2009, Pavement Technology Updates are an occasional publication describing practical applications of pavement technology innovations. Until 2011, they were distributed as inserts in the newsletter. They are now distributed electronically only. This Technology Transfer Program publication is funded by Caltrans Division of Research, Innovation and System Information.
