Development of the San Francisco Bay Area's Water Supply

Ever wonder how your drinking water made it to the kitchen sink? Get ready for a look at how water is directed to its final destination through some pretty amazing structures like dams, aqueducts, sloughs, and reservoirs.

The Water Resources Center Archives and the Harmer E. Davis Transportation Library present their new wall calendar, Mountains to Mouths: Development of the San Francisco Bay Area's Water Supply. Twelve historic black-and-white photographs from the collections of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and East Bay Municipal Utility District depict the Bay Area's water infrastructure development during the twentieth century, revealing the complex planning and large-scale construction projects necessary to provide water to millions of people.

To Order:
Calendars are available for $13 each. California residents must add their local sales tax. Domestic shipping charges are $3 for the first calendar and $0.50 for each additional calendar. Allow two weeks for delivery.
