Introduction to National ITS ArchitectureCourse Number: FHWA-NHI-137015 Length: 6 Hours CEU: 0.6 Units Fee: $75 Description:This course provides a broad overview of the National Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Architecture and the role it plays in ITS planning, designing, and implementation processes; it also presents background on the National ITS Architecture and introduces the notion of user service. Examples of local implementations of the National ITS Architecture are used to explain physical architecture. Specific elements of the physical architecture, such as subsystems and terminators, are presented in some detail. This web-based course is available all the time—any hour, any day—from the Consortium for ITS Training and Education (CITE). Please go to the CITE website to register for the course.
