| Abstract: |
Arborists working on public property must consider the hazard potential of every tree: valuable trees, property and lives are at stake. This video provides information to evaluate trees for failure potential, covering tree conflicts with public activity, tree defects and their indicators, and systematic tree inspection tools and procedures for analyzing the hazard threat in terms of the extent of the defect and the target, and identifies treatments for defective trees with emphasis on preventive measures. |
| Notes: |
This video is more technical than the other two videos in the Managing Trees for Public Safety series and is intended for the professional arborist, urban forester, or other tree expert working with trees on public property. |
