Applications of Data Science and AI to Equity, Race, and Inclusion in Mobility and Transportation

June 21, 2021

In Spring 2021, Berkeley's Institute of Transportation Studies, the College of Engineering, and the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute hosted a Zoom seminar series on "Applications of Data Science and AI to Equity, Race, and Inclusion in Mobility and Transportation." Our aim was to reflect on and raise awareness of applications, opportunities, and potential misuses of AI and Big Data Science in the mobility and transportation space, specifically as it refers to race, equity, and diversity.

This timely and informative series is well worth watching. The speakers bring unique and innovative perspectives to existing discussions around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
