Justin Towles serves as the President of Crown Consulting, Inc. In this role, he oversees operations, partnership strategy and overall strategic growth of the organization.
Towles joined the Crown team in early 2022 at the height of a successful career in aerospace. He is widely recognized as a leading expert in advanced aviation policy and a fierce advocate for innovative technologies and systems. He is known for an ability to bring people together from across diverse ecosystems to forge coalitions and drive success. Through his work at the local, state and federal level, in conjunction with experience serving as an association executive and as a successful entrepreneur, Justin is uniquely able to lead teams toward effective execution.
Before joining Crown, Justin was a leader in the Advanced Aviation practice at top D.C. Law and Lobbying firm Akin Gump. Prior to Akin, Justin co-founded Ascension Global, which was ultimately absorbed by Hyundai Motor Company’s AAM division, now known as Supernal. Key previous roles include serving as Vice President of Government Affairs for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), as a Special Assistant to Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley and as a legislative staffer for two Members of Congress.
Justin has received numerous awards and honors for his service to the aerospace industry and for his work in the community. These include Airport Business Magazine’s 40 under 40, the AAAE Outstanding Service Award, Maryland General Assembly Citation and a Maryland Gubernatorial Citation for outstanding service to the Maryland Fire Service.
