Dr. Kerry Rohrmeier, AICP, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at San Jose State University. Kerry is a cultural geographer whose examines land use policy from regional scale down to site placemaking. She primarily conducts qualitative studies that mix ethnography with geotechnical field methods and GIS. Dr. Rohrmeier earned a doctoral degree from the University of Nevada, Reno where she studied urbanization at the Black Rock desert and advocates for new ways to build sustainably.
